Marketplace Rules
Last updated: June 29, 2026
These rules keep SaltyShelf useful for reef hobbyists by requiring clear listings, honest conduct, and safe marketplace behavior.
Honest Listings
Listings must use accurate titles, current photos, truthful descriptions, clear prices, correct categories, and realistic condition notes. Do not use misleading photos, hide defects, exaggerate livestock size or color, or misrepresent availability.
Seller Responsibility
Sellers are responsible for the items they list, the accuracy of their descriptions, safe packaging, timely shipping, buyer communication, and honoring SaltyShelf minimum buyer protection rules.
Buyer Responsibility
Buyers should read listings carefully, ask questions before purchasing, confirm delivery availability, inspect packages promptly, and follow the claim windows in the refund and DOA policies.
Prohibited Conduct
Do not harass users, send spam, evade admin decisions, manipulate reports, request unsafe payment behavior, post stolen photos, sell restricted items, or use SaltyShelf for illegal, deceptive, or abusive activity.
Reports and Enforcement
Users can report listings, sellers, or issues that appear unsafe, misleading, prohibited, or suspicious. SaltyShelf may remove content, request changes, reject listings, limit seller access, or take other safety actions.
