Payment and Fees Policy

This policy explains SaltyShelf's current payment status, fee expectations, and payment-related responsibilities for buyers and sellers.

Current Payment Status

SaltyShelf does not currently offer live checkout, buyer payment processing, seller payouts, or stored payment methods. Users should not treat any beta listing or seller approval as a completed payment feature.

Future Marketplace Payments

If SaltyShelf adds marketplace checkout, sellers may need to complete additional payment provider onboarding before funds can be released. Future checkout, payout, tax, chargeback, refund, or dispute tools may be subject to additional provider terms and identity checks.

Fees

SaltyShelf will disclose any marketplace fees, promotion fees, payment processing fees, payout timing, or seller charges before charging or withholding those amounts. Fee terms may depend on the feature used and the payment provider requirements in effect at that time.

Off-Platform Payments

Until SaltyShelf provides live checkout, buyers and sellers are responsible for evaluating any payment arrangement they choose outside the platform. Do not share passwords, private payment credentials, or sensitive financial information through SaltyShelf forms.

Refunds and Disputes

Refund and dispute expectations are described in the Refund and Dispute Policy and related seller policies. Future payment tooling may add additional evidence, timing, chargeback, or provider requirements.
